The first Charro Days Poster was produced and published in 1991.

It was created by Artist Don Breeden who was commissioned by the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau to commemorate the popular and historic Charro Days Fiesta.  The four horsemen featured in the poster were authentic "Charros" who rode in Charro Days parades carrying the flags of the two Nations - The United States and Mexico, along with their machetes to guard "Las Banderas".

Little did they know at the time that the "Poster Series" they established would carry forward for 25 Editions featuring different aspects of Charro Days and different images, each created and illustrated by Don Breeden.

The first poster has now become a collector's item.
